Why Dream Music

The reception should feel like the best night of the year, not a wedding.

The best wedding DJ is rarely the one with the most wedding bookings. It’s the one who can hold a room of 200 people across three generations, take a request without losing the thread, and know exactly when to let the night get loud. That is what a residency at E11EVEN or LIV teaches, and it is why couples come to us.

Every wedding on our calendar is planned with the couple in advance: must-plays, do-not-plays, the first dance, the parent dances, the moment the floor opens. On the day, the DJ works from that plan and from the room, with microphone work kept to what the timeline actually needs.

  • Planned, then played

A pre-wedding call covers the timeline, the announcements and the music, so nothing is left to guesswork on the day.

  • Tasteful MC work

Clear, warm, and brief. Your DJ guides the room without making the night about themselves.

  • Equipment handled

Tell us what the venue has. If the room needs a DJ setup, speakers or microphones, we include it.

  • One point of contact

Availability, paperwork, music planning and the day-of timeline all run through one person, from first hello to last song.

FAQ

Weddings: good to know

How far in advance should we book a wedding DJ?

Peak dates (October through May in South Florida, late spring and fall in New York) book 9 to 14 months out. If your date is closer, ask anyway; we can usually find a strong fit.

Does the DJ also MC?

Yes. Every wedding DJ in the collective handles announcements and the timeline. We keep it understated unless you want a bigger presence, in which case we can also pair the DJ with a dedicated MC or host.

Does the DJ bring equipment?

Most venues have a sound system; many do not have a DJ setup. Tell us what the room provides and we will include whatever is missing (decks, speakers, wireless microphones for the ceremony and toasts).

Can we add live musicians or percussion?

Yes. Live percussion, sax, violin and vocalists can be paired with the DJ for the ceremony, cocktail hour or the dance floor. Mention it in the inquiry.

What does a wedding DJ cost?

It depends on the DJ, the date, the hours and whether the venue needs any equipment. Send the details and we will come back with pricing, usually within a day.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes. The collective is based in Miami, New York and Los Angeles and regularly travels across the US, the Caribbean and Mexico.
