Known for his signature open-format style, Derek began his journey at just thirteen, joining a renowned DJ company and performing hundreds of private events nationwide before finishing high school. Those early years shaped his ability to move seamlessly between genres—disco, funk, classic house, and hip-hop—keeping crowds of every generation on their feet until the very last song.

By the early 2010s, Derek had become a fixture in Miami’s nightlife, holding a residency at LIV at the Fontainebleau from 2011–2015, where he opened for international headliners and played for an elite clientele every Friday. Today, as co-founder of Super Music Group and Dream Machine Entertainment, he balances artist management with curating high-impact private events.
