About
Manuvers is a Santiago-born, Miami-based DJ and producer and the co-founder of The Love Below, the weekly dance party he launched with six fellow DJs in 2015 at Electric Pickle. Miami New Times named it one of the ten best weekly parties in the city, and it has become a reference point for anyone who wants hip-hop, soul, disco and house played with intent.
He started DJing as a young teen and has been a presence in Miami's hip-hop scene since the late 2000s, with residencies at Electric Pickle, Purdy Lounge and News Lounge and a set at Sónar in Barcelona alongside Carl Cox and 2ManyDJs. As a producer he co-produced The Wonderful World of DJ Induce and helped run the vinyl label Counterflow Recordings.
His sets are collages: mixed-genre escapades assembled by someone who makes records as well as plays them. New Times put it best: all the energy of hip-hop, and a soar that is all soul.
